Lynsy Folckomer (Hero) (she/her)
is so excited to make her Strawdog debut with this very special Ides Reunion Episode! A lover of Shakespeare, immersive theatre and reality tv, she immediately knew this production of Much Ado was a match made in heaven. You may find her working in the Chicagoland area as an actor, director, sound artist, or whatever trade she decides to pick up next. Most recently, you may have seen her onstage at The Raven Theatre as Samaritan in 13 Suits: A Mother’s Monologues. Heath Hays (Sound Design)
was born and (mostly) raised in the verdant rolling hills of northeast Indiana. By middle school, he had a burgeoning career portraying street urchins, in many permutations, at the local high school and community theatres. This all changed in college. Leaving behind the limelight, he took the mantle of designer, and has been such ever since. After moving to Chicago in 2003, he has worked for too many theatre companies, collectives, ensembles, co-ops, and loose knit groups to name. And he had a good time in every show except one. With Strawdog, Heath has designed sound for Improbable Frequency, Big Love, and Conversations on a Homecoming among others. He has been a supporter of everything else.

Shay Gordon (Graphic Design and Marketing) (they/them)

They had a blast working on this show! Many thanks to friends and family for the support!

Land Acknowledgement
Strawdog would like to acknowledge the land that we occupy today. Before European invasion, the Chicagoland area was home to the Council of the Three Fires - composed of the Ojibwe, Odawa and Potawatomi Nations - as well as the Miami, Ho-Chunk, Menominee, Sac, Fox, Kickapoo and Illinois Nations. We honor the native communities of the past and the 65,000 native people living in Chicago today.
It is our goal that through this acknowledgement, we and the Chicago community can begin to work towards equity, healing and the celebration of Indigenous people.
What is a land acknowledgement?
A land acknowledgement is a statement used to recognize the indigenous people who first occupied the land. Find more details at https://usdac.us/nativeland
Why is Strawdog making a land acknowledgement?
We are making a land acknowledgement as a show of respect to the indigenous people of Chicago. Land acknowledgements are a stepping stone to raising awareness about indigenous tribes. When we gather, it gives us an opportunity to honor indigenous beliefs and recognize the land as sacred.
How should I respond?
Listen to the acknowledgement and be aware of the thoughts and feelings that arise during and after the land acknowledgement. Everyone reacts differently. It might be the first time you are hearing the names of tribes from your area. Follow up with your thoughts and questions. Take action.
How can I find ways to support Indigenous people of Chicago
