Strawdog Radio Theatre is proud to present a trilogy of original radio pieces performed live before a studio audience featuring the musical stylings of the Strawdog House Band! Formally known as WIRELESS, STRAWDOG RADIO THEATRE is a unique evening of theatre where Strawdog puts this generation's spin on the genre of vintage radio entertainment. Featuring the award winning Strawdog ensemble which brought alive last Fall's hit production of MARATHON '33, SRT 6 is a celebration of love and its many maddening forms. The world premiere plays featured in SRT 6 are: The Adventures of the Glenwood Springs Kid and the Cowardly Brave—the second installment of a courageous Native American fable about a father's love, THIS IS JANE: The Case of the Ardent Archer—a modern day crime story about Cupid's wicked arrows, and SHELF THIRTEEN: Melolagnia or Unevenly Matched—a futuristic sci-fi tale about finding your mate in the next millennia.

Strawdog Artistic Associate Director Jennifer Avery makes her Strawdog directing debut. A veteran actress of the Chicago theatre scene and successful voice-over artist, Avery brings her wide range of performance experience to this dynamic Strawdog offering. Hank Boland, author of the first Strawdog original musical (The True Ballad of Fall's Blessings) returns to Strawdog. Boland, a prolific playwright of musical comedy and faculty member of Columbia College's Screenwriting Department, returns to the Strawdog Radio series with his latest installment of The Glenwood Springs Kid. His plays include: Monky Business, Monky Business II, Soup du Jour and The Singin' Cowboy have received over 130 productions across the country and Europe. Boland also serves as head of the Strawdog Writing Initiative a new program that cultivates new writers for Strawdog Theatre Company.
