Sean was asked to join Strawdog in early 2004 where he finally found a home away from home and a local family. While he serves as one of Strawdog's resident designers, his other theatrical credits include work with A Red Orchid, Next, Route 66, Adventure Stage,Pegasus Players, The Factory, European Repertory, City Lit, Black Bird Productions, The Vittum, Collaboraction, and Lifeline. He occasionally teams up with his wife Eilleen, for dance productions with such companies as Ballet Chicago, Deeply Rooted,Culture Shock Chicago and Lisa's School of Dance. By day, Sean is the Assistant Lighting Supervisor at Chicago's world renowned Goodman Theater. He is determined to facilitate the ensemble as his time allows, while continuing his growth as a designer in the Chicago theatre community.
Sean has received a Joseph Jefferson Citation for lighting design on Strawdog's St.Crispin's Day, and was also nominated for their Tooth of Crime.
-Sean is pictured above(poorly) with his Quaker Parrot named "Bird" (also pictured poorly)-whom yes, is wearing a neck brace due to a cat related injury. Why did Sean do this? Well, he finds it amusing, and it beats some cheesy posed headshot.
