Location and Parking

Strawdog Theatre Company is located on the second floor of 3829 N Broadway in Chicago, IL, one and 1/2 blocks south of Irving Park and Broadway. It is easily reached by public transportation or by automobile. Get driving directions.

Strawdog currently has two performing spaces open to the public. The Strawdog Mainstage is a blackbox 73 seat flexible theater with AC and (2006) brand new theater seating and risers. The Hugen Hall Cabaret space is an exposed brick cabaret lounge seating 50 with a bar.

Parking

Finding parking in Wrigleyville is often difficult, and there are no public parking garages in the immediate vicinity of the theatre. We recommend using public transportation or taxis whenever possible. If you plan to drive suggest arriving in the area 45 minutes prior to show time in order to find parking, particularly on weekends and night Cubs games.

Directions for Traveling by Public Transportation

Take the Red Line train and exit at the Sheridan stop. Walk south on Sheridan to the next intersection; this intersection is confusing because at this point Sheridan, which mostly runs north and south, turns east, taking over from Byron Street and Sheffield continues south. Follow Sheridan left (east) and continue two blocks, to the intersection of Broadway & Sheridan. Walk one half a block south on Broadway to the theater. (Download a PDF map of the Chicago L.)

Seating Policy

Strawdog Theatre Company has an assigned admission policy for all tickets. If you purchase your tickets online, you may select your seats. All other purchases will be assigned best available at the discretion of the box office. The house opens 15 minutes before production is to begin.

Late Seating Policy

Patrons who arrive late will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager. Not all Strawdog productions allow late seating. We recommend you arrive at the venue early to make sure you are able to attend the production.

Purchasing Tickets

Strawdog Theatre company does not offer unsecured reservations. To purchase tickets click the online ticket link located in the production's description page. You may also call the theatre directly and leave your payment information on the box office voice line at 773-528-9696. Flex-Pass subscribers should contact the box office directly and mention they are a flex-pass subscriber...with desired date and quantity.

Ticket Exchanges

There are no refunds or exchanges on non-Flex-Pass tickets. Flex-Pass Subscribers may exchange their tickets up to 5pm the day of your performance date for remaining performances of the same show.

If you misplace your online tickets, come to the box office window the night of your show and we will be able to verify your purchase online. If you lose a Flex-Pass, unfortunately they can not be replaced.

ATM

There is an ATM located in the theatre lobby near the box office window.

Concessions

The bar in Strawdog Theatre's Hugen Hall sells several brands of imported and domestic beer as well as a white and red wine, several varieties of soda and water. All alcohol consumed on the property must be purchased at the theatre. We ENCOURAGE you to take concessions INTO the theatre.

Restrooms

Strawdog has two unisex restrooms located outside the main lobby as well as a men's and women's restroom located near the rear of the mainstage theatre.

Lost and Found

Lost and Found is located at the Box Office Window near the main entrance.

On-Site Emergencies

For an emergency while attending Strawdog Theatre, contact House Management and/or the Box Office Attendant.

When leaving a telephone number for a babysitter or relative, give Strawdog's main phone number 312.528.9696, as well as what you were wearing and the name under which your tickets are held.
